Excel is a versatile tool for data analysis and reporting. It helps to work with large datasets, perform data analysis, create charts, and present findings effectively. These skills are valuable in roles such as data analyst, financial analyst, and business intelligence professional. Keeping this in mind St. Vincent Pallotti College had organized a 40 hrs. Certificate Program on “Excel and Advanced Excel” for BCA, PGDCA, and BPE students from 03rd October - 13th October 2023. Dr. Milind Prakash Kshirsagar, Assistant Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, St. Vincent Pallotti College of Engineering and Technology, Nagpur has given the training to the students in the certificate Program. The Objective of this program on “Excel and Advanced Excel” was to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of Microsoft Excel's basic and advanced features.
Dr. Milind Prakash Kshirsagar shared his knowledge about Excel interface and navigation, handling data on Excel, and formatting data in MS Excel. He explained Basic and advanced mathematical and statistical functions available in Excel. Students have given hands-on practice for Sorting and filtering data, Advanced data visualization techniques, Interactive charts and slicers and they also learnt about Data validation, drop-down lists, Goal seek and solver, etc. Total 100 of students involved in this Certificate Program where 50 students were from the Computer Science Department and the rest of the students from various departments.
Principal of the college Dr. Kuldeep Dubey and Vice Principal Dr. G. Padma Gouri expressed their gratitude to Dr. Milind Prakash Kshirsagar by Presenting Thank You Memento. The session was ended with the vote of thanks by Mrs. Pooja Rathi, HOD, Department of Computer Science. Students reported that they have got excellent knowledge on the subject and this will be very helpful for their future. They were very satisfied and have demanded more such programs in the future.
